Welcome to Assington's quiet lanes information page.

Quiet Lanes Suffolk is a county wide initiative to encourage road users to be more considerate of walkers, cyclists and horseriders when using minor routes. Further information is available at https://www.quietlanessuffolk.co.uk/

A public consultation has been held in the parish, including a public meeting on the 22nd March, which returned almost unanimous support for proceeding with the project. The inital consultation leaflet can be found here.

Comments and feedback can be provided to George.Firth@suffolk.gov.uk or by post to George Firth, Disputes, Education and Employment Team, Constantine House, 5 Constantine Road, Ipswich, IP1 2DH. The deadline is 14th June 2021.

Suffolk County Council's notice to designate can be seen by clicking here. You may notice that Upper Road has been included under 'Little Cornard'.
